The production will be done at Nedinsco’s facility in Venlo, the Netherlands.

For the assembly, a high-end dedicated production area will be created using state of the art optronics tooling and equipment. Production is intended to start in the summer of 2021 and is expected to further grow in the years to come.

“Following many years of close cooperation with Nedinsco, Hensoldt welcomes the opportunity to strengthen our partnership strategically. We are proud to support future submarine programmes with Nedinsco, especially on such upcoming and important programme of the future submarine capability for the Royal Netherlands Navy,” Klaus Rettenmaier, Head of Naval Systems at Hensoldt, commented.

“This new business line underlines the strategic partnership between Hensoldt and Nedinsco. We are proud that with our knowhow and production capabilities we can contribute to the success of Hensoldt in their complex international market place. The Periscope production … fits in Nedinsco’s growth ambition in the international optronics market,” Arno Bouwmeester, Nedinsco’s CEO, said.
