SRDSC has awarded a contract by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for development of the technical design and modernization of the frigate Hetman Sahaydachniy.
Due to the modernization project, the frigate’s service life will be extended. Fighting efficiency and habitability will be improved as well.
The frigate Hetman Sahaydachniy, project 11351, which was commissioned in 1993 is now the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy.
In September 2015, at the Government Meeting, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, pointed out that the full modernization of the frigate is planned untill 2018.
