ITS Grecale Paid Visit to Omani A’Duqm Port

In May 2015 ITS Grecale became the first Italian warship to visit A’Duqm port in Oman.

During their time alongside, ITS Grecale’s commanding officer, Commander Marco Frumusa, hosted the chairman of the A’Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority, His Excellency Yahya Bin Said Bin Abdullah Al Jabri and the Italian Ambassador, Her Excellency Paola Amadei.

During the meeting the visitors discussed with the commanding officer the importance of mutual cooperation in the fight against Somali piracy.

His Excellency Yahya Bin Said Bin Abdullah Al Jabri also expressed his appreciation to Commander Frumusa for ITS Grecale’s visit and added that planned new port facilities will assist warships during their visits in the future.
