HMS Enterprise Scheduled to Sail Into Cardiff

The Royal UK Navy’s HMS Enterprise will sail into Cardiff on Friday (June 27) for two days to support the capital’s Armed Forces Day events and the launch of Wales at War.

Arriving early, the Echo Class Survey ship will berth at Britannia Quay. She has a busy schedule whilst in Cardiff and this begins with a capability demonstration on board on Friday at which the Wales at War (W@W) project will be launched.

The Wales at War (W@W) project is funded by the Armed Forces Covenant, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Welsh Government Education Department. Led by the National Library of Wales, the project is designed to develop inclusive learning and heritage activities as part of the commemoration of the First World War in Wales. W@W will create a major digital resource via a dedicated platform/app.
