Over the past three days the Ukrainian frigate Hetman Sahaydachnyi conducted scheduled drills.

The crew completed artillery exercises against simulated air targets and a range of scheduled trainings on anti-sabotage actions, antisubmarine warfare and ship damage control.

In addition, the personnel engaged in mine countermeasure exercises, communication establishment in active and passive interferences etc.

The successful completion of the tasks was facilitated by the crew’s experience gained during their recent participation in the Ocean Shield and Atalanta counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.
