USA: Communications and Power L.L.C Receives USD 45.5 Million Contract

Communications and Power L.L.C has been awarded a $45,500,539 contract for the evaluation, repair and new production of the simplified driver traveling wave tube that will be used by the Navy and Missile Defense Agency.

The simplified driver traveling wave tube will support navy shipbuiliding programs, in-service engineering agent requirements, foreign military sales and fleet replenishment requirements for the AN/SPY-1d(V) radar system.

The AN/SPY-1d(V) radar system is part of the Aegis Weapon System MK 7. This radar is an air/surface search and tracking system used on DDG 51 Class ships starting with DDG 91.

The work will be performed in Palo Alto, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2017.
