Naval troops attached to SLNS Walagamba of the Eastern Naval Command arrested 05 persons, who were engaged in illegal fishing, in the seas off Bolder Point on 14th June 2012.
The FGD and 20 grams of explosives used for the illegal act along with 02 pairs of goggles, a diving mask , a pair of diving fins, a nylon fishing net and 400 kilograms of illegal fish catch were also taken into naval custody.
The arrested persons and the items were handed over to Kuchchaveli Police for further investigations.
