The agreement was signed at the MSPO International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Poland, in September 2024.

According to Thales, joining capabilities will enable both companies to multiply their strengths, offering “superior” performance parameters and “unique” features for clients in both domestic and international markets.

To note, the parties share decades of experience in radars and radiolocation technologies, including in implementation for both military and civil clients.

Thales is involved in advanced technologies within three domains: Defence & Security, Aeronautics & Space and Digital Identity & Security.

PIT-RADWAR has conducted research and development activities in the field of radar technology, electronic support and measures, C2 systems and related armament systems, especially air defence systems.

In related news, German sensor solution provider Hensoldt received an order from Thales for the delivery of TRS-4D naval radars for the German Navy’s F126 frigates.

Launched in 2020, the F126 program is the German Navy’s latest frigate program. As per the latest information, the F126 class will consist of six ships. The program also includes several land-based test and training sites.
