Anzac deployed as part of a three ship task unit with HMA Ships Success and Toowoomba.

Departing Fleet Base East in March, Anzac visited seven ports in six nations, participated in two international exercises, conducted passage exercises with French, Royal Thai and Philippines navies and travelled a total of 13,000 nautical miles.

Commander Task Unit and commanding officer Anzac, Commander Michael Devine, said Anzac has completed a very successful South East Asian Deployment, which has reaffirmed Australia’s commitment to developing strong and positive relations with nations in the region

“The highly professional standard set by Anzac’s ship’s company throughout the deployment was critical to the successful achievement of the mission to know and understand the region, enhance international relationships and maintain the ADF’s ongoing routine presence in the south east Asian region,” Commander Devine said.
