American engineering, procurement, and construction company KBR announced on Tuesday that its global government service business, KBRwyle, was awarded a $91 million, base operating support services contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic.

This is the latest in a series of base operations support service contracts awarded to the company, including two major contracts estimated at $956 million supporting navy bases in Diego Garcia and Djibouti. KBRwyle now has on-going base operating support services work totaling more than $1B over the next eight years.

Under the terms of this latest contract, KBRwyle will support services at various locations within the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. KBRwyle will provide services including galley, housing, custodial, pest control, waste management, unarmed security force protection, grounds and landscaping, utilities, equipment maintenance and dispatch, personnel movement and material handling. The work is expected to be performed over the next eight years if all option years are exercised.

The company currently provides base operating support services in Bahrain at Isa Air Base in addition to operations and maintenance services at multiple U.S. military bases around the world.

“KBRwyle’s combined capabilities and expertise in delivering services at remote locations has provided us the opportunity to continue to serve our military while expanding our core business portfolio in the long term,” said Byron Bright, KBRwyle President. “We are proud to build on our legacy of supporting the U.S. military and its soldiers around the world.”
