USS Donald Cook Farewells Larnaca, Cyprus

After a scheduled port visit, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75) departed Larnaca, Cyprus, during its third forward-deployed patrol, Oct. 16, 2015.

Donald Cook is on patrol as part of the U.S. European Phased Adaptive Approach to NATO Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD). This patrol is part of the ballistic missile defense of Europe under Operation Atlantic Resolve.

The ship previously visited Cyprus in July 2014 during a routine patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
