USS Cape St. George Repair Deal Awarded

Authorities

US Navy awarded further fiscal 2015 extended dry-docking selected restricted availability works for its Ticonderoga-class cruiser USS Cape St. George (CG-71).

The $50,6 million deal is a modification of the previously awarded contract to BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, San Diego, California.

An extended dry-docking selected restricted availability includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to more than $51 million.

The maintenance, scheduled to conclude by September 2016, will be performed in San Diego, California.

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity.
