Sri Lanka Navy Rescues Three Indian Fishermen

Authorities

Sri Lanka Navy salvaged an Indian trawler with three Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan waters, on September 20, 2015.

The trawler was drifting off Analativu due to fuel shortage and a technical glitch in their fishing trawler.

SLN craft towed the fishing trawler, and the rescued Indian fishermen, to Karainagar Naval Base for repair assistance.

Following the repairs the trawler was escorted to the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) on September 21.
