USS Frank Cable Hosts Chief of Navy Reserve

Commanding Officer of the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), Capt. Mark Benjamin, welcomed aboard Chief of Navy Reserve Vice Adm. Robin Braun, for an office call and tour, July 10.

Braun visited Frank Cable to meet with Sailors and to observe the many roles and functions Navy Reserve Sailors have while deployed onboard. During a tour, Braun was shown ship spaces where Navy Reservists work; including pipe repair, sheet metal, carpentry, dive chamber and the ship’s store.

Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
