Indian Navy Kicks Off Exercise Tropex 2014
INDIAN NAVY ADMIRALS

The Indian Navy has started their largest combat exercise called “Tropex”, which is taking place in the Bay of Bengal.

Over 50 Indian warships are partaking in the exercise, including the flagship of the Indian Navy, INS Viraat, and nuclear submarine INS Chakra.

The combined Eastern and Western Fleets are currently engaged in the “Tropex”, which will last for a month.

The exercise will be conducted against the backdrop of two completely networked fleets operating in a dense maritime environment.
