HMNZS TE MANA Joins Auckland Anniversary Regatta

After a weekend alongside in Auckland City, HMNZS TE MANA proceeded to sea for Auckland Anniversary Regatta activities on Monday 28 January.

TE MANA’s Ship’s Company smoothly hosted the Governor General and Chief of Navy onboard, along with their invited guests.

Welcomed warmly on the flight deck, guests were provided with the obligatory safety briefing before proceeding up. The best views in the house were to be had from the Upper Decks, watching yachts, pleasure craft, windsurfers and kayaks merrily wend their way about the harbour, with one errant merchant vessel working hard to make it down the channel amongst all the activity.

The RNZAF Red Checkers provided aerial entertainment before lunch on the flight deck.
