Vice Chief of the Naval Staff of India Visits Commander of Sri Lanka Navy

The Vice Chief of the Naval Staff of India, Vice Admiral RK Dhowan, AVSM, YSM, accompanied by Defence Adviser of India, Captain Sumeet Kapoor paid a courtesy call on Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 12th December 2012.

On arrival, they were accorded a Guard of Honour and warmly received by the Commander of the Navy and they held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interests and bilateral importance. They are in Sri Lanka to participate for the “Galle Dialogue” maritime conference -2012 held at Lighthouse Hotel, Galle. Senior naval officers of the Naval Headquarters were also present on the occasion and mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill.
