Sri Lanka Navy Arrests 59 Persons Engaged in Illegal Fishing

Naval troops attached to the Eastern Naval Command arrested 59 persons, who were engaged in illegal fishing in the seas off Foul Point on 17th October 2012.

The arrested persons along with 09 fishing boats were handed over to Trincomalee Police for further investigations.

Fisheries Department personnel and Police also assisted in the arrest.
