Sri Lanka: Navy Arrests Persons with Conch Shells

Naval personnel attached to the SLNS Vijaya of the North-western Naval Command on information received arrested 6 persons in possession of 4918 of conch shells in the general area Paramunai on 1st October 2012.

The arrested persons with the items were handed over to Assistant Fisheries Director (Puttlam) for onward action.
