The contract awards ensure continuity of towed array production capabilities through the end of the decade, protecting vital industrial base capabilities that cannot be easily reconstituted.
L3Harris’ manufacturing infrastructure supports complete end-to-end array fabrication, from precision hydrophone assembly to final system integration and testing. Every towed array undergoes rigorous quality assurance and environmental testing prior to delivery, ensuring each system meets the demanding operational requirements of the submarine force.

To remind, L3Harris recently received an other transaction authority contract by the US Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to deliver its torpedo tube launch and recovery (TTLR) system. The system enables the deployment and retrieval of the company’s Iver4 900 autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) through submarine torpedo tubes.
