The contract was signed by Norman Joesoef, Chairman of Republikorp, and Davinder Dogra, CEO of Milanion Group, at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi.

Under the agreement, Republikorp and Milanion will collaborate to deliver an initial fleet of five 20-meter USVs. The partners will work with an Indonesian shipyard responsible for designing, constructing, and supplying the vessels according to the navy’s specific requirements.

The conversion kit will be integrated into the boats to ensure enhanced operational efficiency and autonomous functionality.

This agreement underscores their “commitment to strengthening national defense capabilities by integrating world-class technologies with local expertise”.

Furthermore, by working together, Republikorp and Milanion aim to develop high-mobility, mission-ready solutions that address the Indonesian Navy‘s operational needs.

Beyond the initial contract, Republikorp and Milanion have pledged to expand their cooperation further to explore new opportunities in developing advanced defense solutions across Indonesia’s maritime, land, and air domains.

This strategic alliance is expected to bolster Indonesia’s position as “a leader in next-generation autonomous defense technologies”, the partners highlighted.

In a separate statement, Republikorp announced it signed a framework agreement with Drass for the development of the Indonesian DGK submarine. With the main contract scheduled to be signed in the summer of 2025, this agreement serves as a milestone in the modernization of Indonesia’s maritime defense.

The partners seek to bolster maritime defense capabilities and strengthen underwater deterrence through the serial production of mid-sized attack submarines.
