This milestone represents the successful completion of the design phase. It also confirms the capability of ADSB and its determination to continue to be a strategic partner to the UAE Ministry of Defence.

ADSB was awarded the contract to build four Falaj-class fast patrol vessels for the UAE Navy in 2021.

With its partners and with the support from the UAE Navy, it has successfully completed the design phase of the project on schedule. Singapore-based ST Engineering provided design, platform equipment and technical assistance for the construction of the vessels for the UAE Navy.

The patrol ships will be complex high-speed warships equipped with modern sensors and combat systems and will be a significant addition to the UAE Navy capability, according to the company.

ADSB is part of the Platforms & Systems cluster of EDGE Group, an advanced technology group for defense and beyond.

ADSB previously built the UAE Navy’s Baynunah-class corvettes, the last of which delivered back in 2017.
