The Russian Navy warships have fired missiles at coastal areas in the Odessa region, according to Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister.

Gerashchenko revealed yesterday that the Russian naval forces began the artillery firing at the coast near the village of Tuzla in Ukraine.

“They fired a huge amount of ammunition from a long distance. There were no attempts to land troops,” he noted.

Other details regarding the damage or casualties were not disclosed.

Recently, the UK Ministry of Defence published information confirming that the Russian naval forces have established a distant blockade of Ukraine’s Black Sea coast while continuing to conduct missile strikes throughout the country.

As explained, the blockage had caused Ukraine to become isolated from international maritime trade. Furthermore, the Russian Navy has already performed one amphibious landing in the Sea of Azov. The officials noted that these actions could continue in the next period.
