According to the navy, two pilots, an instructor and a student, suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local medical treatment facility for care.
The pilots safely ejected from the aircraft-capable trainer just before it crashed just short of the runway inside the airfield perimeter fence.
The navy said an investigation into the incident is underway.
