Under the deal, valued at approximately 380 mln EUR (1.65 bn PLN), Leonardo’s MW Yeovil facility in the UK will deliver the helicopters that will be used for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and combat search and rescue (CSAR) missions.

All four units are expected to be delivered by 2022.

The contract, which includes an integrated logistics and training package to the Polish defense ministry, follows the signing of an EUR 90 million offset agreement from early April.

Leonardo will also establish a new legal entity headquartered in Warsaw. Leonardo Poland will support the customer during the programs’ life cycle to develop partnerships with Polish industry.
