The Victoria-class submarine worked with NATO forces in the Baltic and Mediterranean Seas on its third deployment to Europe since 2015.

This deployment, however, was the first time the submarine has operated in the Mediterranean Sea.

The submarine spent a total of 133 days deployed and contributed to two major events.

Windsor’s crew worked with ships from several NATO state navies to develop a maritime situational awareness picture and combat terrorism as part of NATO’s operation Sea Guardian.

The other major event saw the submarine join units from the Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) for exercise Dynamic Manta, an anti-submarine warfare focused exercise off Italy which saw the participation of 5,000 allies from 10 other countries.
