US Navy picks ten companies for ship production, repair support

Ten companies are being awarded contracts to provide non-nuclear production support for US naval ship and vessel projects and repairs, the US Department of Defense said.

As informed, the value of the multiple contracts is USD 99.6 million.

Services under these contracts will be provided for the navy’s waterborne vessels, surface ships and submarines.

Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by September 2019. If all options are exercised, work will continue through September 2023, according to the Department of Defense.

Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funding in the amount of USD 100,000 — USD 10,000 minimum guarantee per contract — will be obligated at time of award and expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The companies in question are Auxiliary Systems, Delphinus Engineering, East Coast Repair, Epsilon Systems, G.I. Industrial Marine, L-3 Unidyne, Oceaneering Intl., Orbis, Q.E.D. Systems and Te’cnico Corp.
