U.S Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) pulled into Toulon, France for a scheduled port visit September 13.

While in port, Ross plans on conducting a community relations project and hosting a tour of the ship. Toulon will be Ross’ fifth port visit since getting underway in mid-July.

“Pulling into France is going to be an amazing experience for the entire crew who have been working hard over the past months. It will be a great opportunity for them to experience something new and give them a chance to release some stress,” said Cmdr. Bryan Gallo , executive officer, USS Ross.

Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is currently working with allies and regional partners to help, develop and improve maritime forces, maintain regional security and work toward mutual goals in order to advance security and stability in Europe.
