BAE Systems bags US Navy communications and electronics contract

U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has awarded BAE Systems a two-year contract to support its Special Communications Mission Solutions Division with a range of technical services.

Under the contract, valued at $34 million, BAE Systems will support and maintain the life cycle of vital communications and electronics.

Mark Keeler, vice president and general manager of Integrated Electronics and Warfare Systems at BAE Systems, said: “We have provided technical expertise and service to NAWCAD for 25 years. Our employees are deeply committed to delivering for our customer and supporting their global mission.”

BAE Systems will provide logistics management, planning and integration support, technical publications, configuration management, engineering, training, and hardware tracking. The work will be performed at sites in Southern Maryland, as well as Chesapeake, Virginia; Fayetteville, North Carolina; San Diego, California; and multiple international locations.
