Commander Combined Task Force 152 meets Bahrain Navy ship commander

Commander of Combined Task Force (CTF) 152 along with a Colonel of the Kuwait Navy (another member of CTF 152) met with Lieutenant Colonel Nayef Al Jowder, the Commanding Officer of Bahrain warship RBNS Abdul Rahman Al Fadel.

The Captain of the Bahraini Guided Missile Patrol Craft discussed its capabilities and how they can operate closer with CTF 152. The CTF coordinates Theatre Security Cooperation (TSC) activities with many regional partners, including Bahrain, conducts Maritime Security Operations (MSO) and remains prepared to respond to any crisis that may develop in the Gulf.

Royal Navy Lieutenant Will Barrowclough working with CTF 152 said: “Much of Combined Maritime Forces is about forging solid working relationships with the some 30 nations involved. Meeting face to face is definitely the best way to create these networks and we are looking forward to working with all member nations.”

Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) is one of those crises the Task Force is prepared to respond to and trains for throughout the year. During the meeting the Commanding Officers discussed the participation of Abdul Rahman Al Fadel in Ex Falcon Response, the Task Force’s multinational SOLAS and Search and Rescue exercise in the Gulf.
