Norwegian KNM Hinnøy undergoes inspection and survey

Bergen Group Services, the Norwegian services and solutions provider, announced that it has been awarded an inspection and survey project for the Norwegian Navy’s minesweeper KNM Hinnøy.

The company said the project would mainly generate activity throughout Q1 2016.

The awarded project on the minesweeper is part of a framework agreement which the Norwegian Defense Logistics Organisation (FLO) has signed with Bergen Group Services AS and another two companies relating to ship maintenance and repair of some categories of military vessels.

The KNM Hinnøy is an  Oksøy class 55-meter long minesweeper which accommodates a crew of 32 and reaches a speed of 23 knots.

It was commissioned into the Norwegian Navy in 1995 and is part of the Norwegian Navy’s 1st Mine Clearance Squadron stationed in Bergen, Norway.
