USS Harry S. Truman Enters US 6th Fleet

The U.S. Navy’s USS Harry S. Truman carrier strike group entered the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations, November 23.

The current deployment is part of an ongoing rotation of forward-deployed forces to support maritime security operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.

The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group departed Norfolk, November 16, to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet areas of operations in Europe and Africa.

The carrier strike group consists of Harry S. Truman, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7, USS Anzio (CG 68), Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 28, USS Bulkeley (DDG 84), USS Gonzalez (DDG 66), USS Ramage (DDG 61) and USS Gravely (DDG 107).
