Russian Large ASW Ship Enters the Red Sea

The Northern Fleet large anti-submarine warfare (ASW) ship Vice Admiral Kulakov, finished passing the Suez Canal from the Mediterranean Sea into the Red Sea on November 20.

Prior to entering the Red Sea offshore ocean zone, the crew of the Udaloy-class destroyer conducted training on damage control in movement.

The ship also performed a suspicious vessel check simulation and counterterrorist actions using small arms on November 19.

Several days ago, the ship made an official visit to the port of Limassol, Cyprus, for rest and replenishment of water, food and fuel supplies.

Since starting the long-range cruise on October 23, the major ASW ship Vice Admiral Kulakov has passed over 5,5 thousand nautical miles.
