BAE Systems To Upgrade USS Forrest Sherman

BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair received a USD 25,2 million contract for modernization works aboard the US Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98).

Work, to be undertaken in Norfolk, Virginia, is expected to be completed by July 2016. The contract includes ship repair, maintenance, and modernization.

Additional options, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to USD 26,6 million.

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
