Authorities

Australian Navy’s newest vessel NUSHIP Adelaide started her delivery voyage to her homeport, Fleet Base East, Sydney.

According to social media, the Canberra class amphibious assault ship departed the BAE Systems shipyard in Williamstown, Melbourne, on 28 October, and will be soon handed over to the Navy.

Australia’s second Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) ship recently completed her second and final sea trials in Port Phillip Bay. These trials tested the ship’s combat and communications systems over a 10 day period.

BAE Systems Australia will manage the availability of the Navy’s two LHDs at Garden Island, Sydney.
