US Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer recently moored in Gaeta, Italy for a port visit.

The main goal of this visit is strengthening the existing ties between the US and Italian forces.

USS Bainbridge (DDG-96), the fifth ship to carry that name, is homeported in Norfolk.

The vessel is currently deployed conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
