General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. received a $24,1 million modification to previously awarded contract for reactor plant planning yard services for nuclear-powered submarines and support yard services for the US Navy’s moored training ships.
The contractor will furnish, fabricate, or acquire such materials, supplies and services as may be necessary to perform the functions of the planning yard for reactor plants and associated portions of the propulsion plants for nuclear-powered submarines.
Most of the work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by September 2016.
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
