ITS Andrea Doria Takes Part in Joint Warrior 152

After a stopover at HMNB Clyde on October 4, ITS Andrea Doria has sailed off to the Atlantic to attend exercise Joint Warrior 152.

During the stop, which took place October 1 – 4, the Commanding Officer, Captain Angelo Virdis and his staff, participated in the operation meeting aimed to define all the details of exercise Joint Warrior 152 and the At Sea Demonstration 2015 (ASD 15).

The Joint Warrior 152, is taking place off the Hebrides Islands, northwest of Scotland, October 4 – 14, and includes the participation of numerous naval, air and land assets. Twenty-eight ships, 4 submarines, ground troops, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft from more than 12 NATO countries are participating in the exercise.
