Saab at Pacific 2015

Defense and security company Saab will have its latest technological solutions in naval systems on show at the Pacific 2015 exhibition in Sydney, October 6-8, 2015.

Saab will be showcasing its full naval defense capabilities developed in Australia and from across the globe.

Gunilla Fransson, Senior Vice President of Saab’s global defense and security business, who will be attending the international maritime exhibition, said:

The Asia Pacific region is of strategic importance to Saab, we have a long-term investment in Australia that spans 25 years. Our Australian operations support more than 300 employees developing Australia’s future combat system for the next generation frigates and new technologies in unmanned surface vessels; which will feature at Pacific 2015.

At Pacific 2015, Saab will be demonstrating the future roadmap for 9LV and its ability to meet the requirements of the Royal Australian Navy and the benefits of commonality across its current and future platforms.

Gerard Ogden, Head of Marketing and Sales in Australia, Saab has commented:

The battle-proven, scalable 9LV system is a completely flexible and modular capability suited to a range of platforms including frigates and offshore patrol vessels.

Other products from Saab’s global portfolio which will be on display will include the A26 submarine program, FlexPatrol littoral combat and patrol ships, unmanned underwater vehicles and the Skeldar V-200 medium-range unmanned aerial vehicle for maritime missions.
