Military Sealift Command hospital ships USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) and USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) recently returned to their homeports.

Mercy returned to Naval Base San Diego Sept. 27, after a nearly five-month deployment in support of Pacific Partnership 2015. The mission provided humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

Comfort returned to Naval Station Norfolk Sept. 30, after a six-month deployment in support of Continuing Promise 2015. The mission provided medical, engineering and veterinary services to 11 countries in Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
