Almirante Juan de Borbón Off to Faslane, Scotland

Spanish Navy’s frigate ‘Almirante Juan de Borbón’ (F-102) set sail on Monday from Ferrol towards Faslane (Scotland) to participate in exercise ‘Joint Warrior 152’.

After the scheduled port of call in Faslane for coordination purposes, the F-102 will take part in different conventional and asymmetric warfare drills with cyberattacks to test the Command and Control systems of the different units.

Joint Warrior 152 is a UK-programed exercise conducted by land forces, warships, submarines and aircraft from allied nations, which recreates complex scenarios where land, air and naval units train in tactics and interoperability to subsequently be able to integrate into multinational Combat Groups.

The exercise contemplates a myriad of scenarios including crisis and conflict situations, territorial disputes, terrorist activities and pirate attacks.
