VIDEO: SubSea Unveils Innovative Diver Delivery Unit

British company SubSea Craft has unveiled its patented surface/submersible vessel called Diver Delivery Unit (DDU) at this year’s DSEi.

The DDU, which can carry 8 persons, is modular and offers mission-specific capability on and under the surface. It is scalable and reconfigurable for a variety of roles spanning environmental and experimental, over commercial to military purposes.

DDU is storable in a standard ISO container enabling deployment from a surface ship using a crane, davit, A-Frame or moon pool and can be deployed from fixed-wing platforms such as the C-130 using low-height/velocity extraction. The DDU has sufficient endurance to recover autonomously.
