Philippine Navy Ships BRP Ivatan (AT 298) and BRP Batak (AT299) transported disaster relief goods to Poro Point, San Fernando City, La Union on August 26, 2015.
The cargo delivered by the two newly acquired Landing Craft Heavy (LCH) vessels is intended for the families affected during Typhoon “Ineng” at Ilocos Region.
Facilitated by Naval Task Force 11, the relief goods will be transported from SFCLU pier to the affected provinces using the M-35 trucks of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
