Spanish Navy’s auxiliary oiler and replenishment (AOR) ship Cantabria, part of the counter-terrorist operation Active Endeavor in the Mediterranean Sea, is the Spain’s first oiler to supply fuel to three ships simultaneously.

During the alongside connected replenishment manoeuver, the Cantabria supplied fuel to the Spanish frigate Santa María from the port side, to the Royal Canadian Navy frigate Winnipeg from starboard and the German frigate Hamburg astern.

In just one month integrated into operation Active Endeavor the Cantabria has conducted 32 RAS with the two NATO standing Maritime Groups operating in the area, supplying 4,500,000 liters of fuel to allied ships from 8 different nations.
