HMS Triumph’s Ship’s Sponsor, Lady Hamilton of Epsom, visited the vessel during Ceremonial Divisions.
Submariners serving in HMS Triumph have been based at HMNB Clyde for much of this year while the Trafalgar-Class SSN completes a planned maintenance period. With the work-up package nearing completion, officers and crew conducted Ceremonial Divisions and invited Lady Hamilton of Epsom.
The Lady and her husband, Lord Archibald Hamilton, were hosted by the CO, Commander David M Filtness RN, as they were shown around HMS Triumph in the Faslane ship-lift before attending the Divisions.
It was the first time since the commissioning of the boat in 1991 that Lady Hamilton had visited.
