On Thursday 6 August 2015, the Head of German Armed Forces Operational Command, Lieutenant General Hans-Werner Fritz, visited the EU Naval Force Operational Headquarter at Northwood.
Lieutenant General Hans-Werner Fritz was met by the Deputy Operation Commander of the EU Naval Force, Rear Admiral Christoph Joachim Muller-Meinhard (German Navy).
During his visit, Lieutenant General Fritz was updated on the EU’s counter-piracy mission off the coast of Somalia, and took time to meet members of the multi-national Headquarters’ staff, including German military personnel who are deployed with Operation Atalanta.
