The Fleet commander of the Royal Australian Navy was welcomed onboard HMS Diamond to witness one of the Royal Navy’s newest warships.
Rear Admiral Stuart Mayer was accompanied by the Fleet Commander, Vice Admiral Sir Philip Jones to receive a capability presentation and tour of the Type 45 destroyer including the operations room where they observed state-of-the-art technology and exceptional capabilities during an anti-air defence exercise.
The visit culminated with the presentation of awards to two members of Diamond’s ship’s company.
