The amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) held a change of command ceremony at Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet headquarters in Point Loma, California, July. 9.

During the ceremony Cmdr. Scott T. Tasin was relieved by Cmdr. Gervy J. Alota.

Tasin was presented his end of tour award by Capt. Stephen McKone, commander of Amphibious Squadron 5. Tasin was also presented the commissioning pennant by the ship’s chief petty officers mess.

Comstock is currently undergoing schedule maintenance at the Continental Maritime shipyard in San Diego.
