EUNAVFOR Commander Visits EU Teams in Djibouti

On Tuesday 30 June 2015, during a port visit to Djibouti, the EUNAVFOR Force Commander, Rear Admiral Alfonso Gómez Fernández de Córdoba, took the opportunity to visit Operation Atalanta and EUCAP Nestor personnel.

The visit included a call on the Support Element of Operation Atalanta (SEA), as well as the Spanish and German Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) Squadrons.

During his visit to the EUCAP Nestor delegation, he discussed the upcoming activities and how Operation Atalanta could support its sister mission as part of the EU Comprehensive Approach to the Horn of Africa.
