NUSHIP Adelaide Docks in Sydney

Authorities

Australian Navy’s second Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) NUSHIP Adelaide entered Sydney for the first time on Friday during builder trials.

After spending some ten days on the water travelling to Sydney, the vessel moored in Captain Cook Dock.

Here NUSHIP Adelaide will be dry docked so her hull and flight deck can be cleaned and painted.

She will then set sail and undertake more sea trials on the return voyage to BAE Systems’ Williamstown yard in Victoria, arriving in mid-July. The August sea trials will focus on communication and combat systems.
